YOU IN WASHINGTON STATE!! YES, YOU.

Today is a day to vote.

If you don't vote, your option to complain about how things are done in your government is hereby revoked.

I used to say that. In fact, up until quite recently. And while I vote, I have to say that there are circumstances by which you still get to complain when you don't vote. In fact specificically because you didn't vote. Not voting can be a perfectly valid form of participation: I hereby refuse to cast a vote for any candidate. In fact, my disgust with the system is so potent that I refuse to even submit a none of the above (if such an option even exists). Unless the election is ruled invalid, I expect this person to complain about all resulting elected officials and express cheerful surprise at elected officials that turn out to do their jobs well.

Those who choose not to vote out of apathy get what they get and can keep their soup-coolers pinched, thanks.

Well, under the circumstances, submitting a blank ballot is still voting.

Not showing up and not submitting a ballot is not an expression, but laziness.

I just hope that Bob "the traveller" Whats-is-name gets elected to Osition #7 at large for Tacoma City Council. I wonder if thats part of his "art Project" I might even go to a city council meeting.... Now granted... I didn't do anything to help him get there.

Oh, and Port Commissioner #3. I can complain about that...and Metro Parks, and Tacoma School Board. I think that's all 4 things we were asked to vote for.
